The Hotel
Set in a 19th century property in the heart of historic Cape Town, iGadi House is surrounded by the iconic peaks of Table Mountain and Lion’s Head.
Discover iGadi House in the upmarket Gardens suburb and on the doorstep of the vibrant Kloof Street, with its eclectic mix of art galleries, local fashion boutiques, fine eateries, trendy cafes and cocktail bars.
Inspired by the beauty of Cape Town, French owner Cecile Bouquillion bought the property in 2021 with the vision of restoring it into a luxury boutique hotel. Her dream was realised in December 2022 when iGadi House opened to local and international guests.
Great to see you in our boutique hotel!
Stay in this beautifully preserved heritage residence with plenty of Victorian charm. Heritage features – such as an original balcony and courtyard – blend with contemporary-inspired décor and custom furnishings from some of our favourite South African artisans and designers.
The property was built in 1850 by Mr Faure for his family of 12 children and was the first house on the street (which was then named after him). The property subsequently became a boarding house, then a guesthouse and is now fast becoming one of Cape Town’s most sought-after luxury boutique hotels.
You won’t need to keep an eye on the loadshedding schedule when you stay with us! iGadi House has solar panels to generate electricity, as well as batteries with inverter, which means our lights are always on.
Come stay with us!
Our 10 bedrooms range from ‘Snugly’ to ‘Biggy’ to accommodate the needs of guests, from solo travellers to couples and families, for business or leisure. Children over 8 years old are welcome.
The best night’s sleep awaits at iGadi House with our generously proportioned beds.
Do you know what iGadi means? ‘The garden’ in Xhosa, one of the 11 official languages spoken in South Africa and originates from the Khoisan people. Book now to stay in one of our popular rooms with a private garden, or the ones with balcony.
